2019 McLANE STADIUM RESEATING

The 2018 football season marks our fifth year in McLane Stadium - the transformational facility that brought Baylor football back to campus and set the standard for college stadiums across the country.

Since the opening of McLane Stadium, Baylor Athletics has planned to reseat after 5 years. Reseating provides an opportunity for season ticket holders to upgrade or relocate seats. Additionally, reseating helps to enhance revenue for the athletics department, which supports more than 530 student-athletes across 19 intercollegiate sports every year. These funds are vital to helping Baylor remain competitive with schools in our conference and around the nation.

HOW IT WORKS

Priority order for reseating selection will be based upon your 2018-19 Bear Foundation giving level. Bear Foundation priority points will be used to determine priority within each giving level.

Bear Foundation members have until Dec. 31, 2018 to lock in the 2018-19 giving level that will be used to determine priority placement. Those commitments will be due in full by May 31, 2019.

No change in annual giving is required in order to participate in the 2019 reseating process.

THE FOLLOWING GROUPS WILL BE EXEMPT FROM THE RESEATING PROCESS:

  • Suite and Loge Box Owners are exempt based upon previously established gift agreements, with most contracts lasting 10 or more years.
  • Championship Club Members are exempt from reseating and may keep current seats. They will also have first priority to move seats during the selection process, if desired.
  • Season Ticket Holders for 10 or More Consecutive Years will also be exempt from the reseat, if desired. Football season tickets must have remained in the primary account holder's name for ten years consecutively, including the 2019 football season.

PARKING

Parking will be assigned for 2019 as it normally is. There will be no mass relocation of parking in conjunction with the reseat.

RESEATING TIMELINE

Seats in the Club will go through the reseat process first, beginning with a renewal commitment in the fall of 2018. The Club reseat selection process will take place in February 2019.

Reseating for all other general areas will take place in April 2019. All returning season ticket holders may select up to the number of seats they owned for the 2018 season and may request additional tickets (up to 10 per account). Each season ticket holder will receive a dedicated time to log into the online 3D seat selection site to view and select available seats.

Detailed information will be provided ahead of the process, including important dates and deadlines, instructions and policies.

FAQs

PRIORITY RANKING & EXEMPTIONS

I am a returning season ticket holder. How will I be ranked during the reseating process?
Reseat priority ranking follows the same process as annual seat selection and relocation. 2018 season ticket holders and Bear Foundation members will select in the first tier and are ranked first by their Bear Foundation annual giving level (as of Dec. 31, 2018), then ranked within each giving level based upon accrued priority points. Read more about Bear Foundation Priority here.
I wish to become a new season ticket holder for 2019. How will I be ranked during the reseating process?
New season ticket holders who purchase 2019 season ticket tickets prior to Dec. 31, 2018 will select in the first selection tier, along with returning season ticket holders. New season ticket holders who join the Bear Foundation after Dec. 31, will select in the second tier. Within each tier, accounts will be ranked first based upon their Bear Foundation annual giving level (as of Dec. 31, 2018), then ranked within each giving level based upon accrued priority points. Read more about Bear Foundation Priority here.
How can I improve my ranking?
The best way to improve your ranking position is to upgrade your giving level for the 2018-19 membership year before the deadline of Dec. 31, 2018. You do not have to pay your pledge in full by this time; however, all cash giving will earn Priority Points that also help priority ranking for the reseat. Paying off your entire 2018-19 pledge and/or pre-paying for your 2019-20 membership by December 31, 2018, will ensure you have the most points added into your account for ranking. Read more about Bear Foundation Priority here.
If I increase my 2018-19 pledge to improve my ranking for the reseat or to secure exemption, when is the total pledge due?
2018-19 Bear Foundation pledges are due in full by May 31, 2019. However, payment plans must be established no later than March 1, 2019 to receive a selection time.
Does my 2018-19 Bear Foundation commitment used for reseating priority determine my 2019-20 pledge?
Yes, the 2018-19 BBF giving level used to establish your priority ranking for the reseat must be maintained as long as you wish to renew any season tickets secured at that giving level.
I am exempt from the reseating, but I’d still like to consider moving or adding seats. How do I receive a selection date and time? If I participate, do I have to give up my current seats?
The Bear Foundation will follow-up with all exempt accounts in January 2019. You will have the opportunity to notify the Bear Foundation of your plans by opt-ing in to the reseat or completing renewal of your current seats. If you opt-in to the reseat, you will receive a selection date and time, but may choose to keep your current seats if you do not decide to move or add during the reseat process.
If I am exempt but opt-in to the process and do not select new seats, can I keep my same seats from 2018?
Yes. But you will need to complete the process and check out with your current seats in your account.
If I am exempt, how can I add additional seats next my current seats?
You will need to opt-in to the reseating process in January. You will then receive a selection date and time for the reseating when you will have the opportunity to view available seats. However, to achieve your goal of additional seats together, you may have to move location. If you do not find the seats you desire, you are not required to add to your current allotment.

RESEATING PROCESS

When will I be notified of my selection time?
If you are not exempt from the reseat, you will receive your selection date and time in March 2019.
Do I need to renew my 2018 season tickets before the reseating?
No. There will be no formal renewal process before the 2019 reseating process. At the end of your seat selection during the reseating process in April, you will check out and either pay in full for your 2019 season tickets or establish a payment plan.
If I select seats with a higher seat option during the seat selection process, will I need to increase my Bear Foundation pledge?
If your current giving to the Bear Foundation does not cover the new seat option total, the Bear Foundation will automatically adjust your pledge level and notify you. If your current giving covers the new seat option total, no changes will be required.

Will my tailgating spot be relocated as well?
